What People's Say About Place

We don't eat out often but, when my husband and I want a quick date night or to grab some Mexican food to eat at home, we ALWAYS choose El Jefe! I usually order a veggie burrito and a cucumber drink with chamoy on the inside of the cup so it doesn't leak on the long drive home. Their tortillas are huge and the burritos are incredibly filling!

Best taco truck spot in Vancouver!! I always get the birria tacos which are so delicious, and it comes with radish, carrot, and you can ask for free sauces on the side. It’s super affordable, and they even have Taco Tuesdays where the tacos are $2!! There’s also seating with umbrellas. 10/10 would recommend, I’ll come back here next time I’m in Vancouver!! love this place

This spot brings it with the Birria! It's a food cart that implements birria into almost everything. Do they have your traditional fare? Of course. But, who wouldn't want a Wet Birria burrito. It's a trip to flavor town with every bite! If youre in the Vancouver area and looking for a quick bite of some boss food, El Jefe is where it's at.

I got 2 different kinds of tacos and nachos from there and they were delicious. They have a good assortment of options. Ill definitely go back again and try more of their options. Staff was also very nice.

I absolutely love this taco truck! Every time I stop by, the food is fresh, flavorful, and made with so much care. Their tacos are some of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly seasoned, authentic, and always delicious. On top of that, the people who run the truck are incredibly kind and welcoming. They treat every customer like family, and it makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for amazing food and genuinely good people!

The aroma alone pulls you in, and the experience only gets better from there. The birria tacos are the star of the menu — perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, and packed with deep, savory flavor. Dipping them into the rich, flavorful consommé takes everything to the next level. The meat is slow-cooked to perfection, well-seasoned, and incredibly satisfying. Every bite feels comforting and authentic. The menu offers great variety, with tacos, quesabirria, and other options that are all consistently delicious. Portions are generous, prices are fair, and the food always comes out hot and fresh. Their salsas add the perfect amount of spice and freshness to balance the richness of the birria. Highly recommended for anyone craving real birria and some of the best tacos around — I’ll definitely be back!

So good! I’ve ordered through DoorDash but eating it fresh was an experience! I ordered the quesabirria— this is a quesadilla with loads of steak, cilantro, and onions. I ordered the consome as well, it 1.99 for 6 oz. I also had the horchata and my boyfriend had the quesatacos, he had 4 and they were 3.99 each. I would recommend this to everyone

Got this door dashed right before they closed so I expected it to be subpar, but it was top tier. Well seasoned (needed a lil salt). The barria beef was awesome! I got a burrito and wifey got tacos. We basically each got a whole avocado sliced. And there is more than enough portion to make it well worth the price.
